Attention Members:

Announcement March 18, 2020

Due to concerns with community spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) we have decided to temporarily close our credit union lobbies effective Thursday March 19, 2020. We will be continually monitoring State of Michigan and CDC guidelines and information for a safe time to reopen them.

Our Drive Thru’s will be open with extended hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday.  We anticipate our drive thru lines may be long at times – so if you have transactions that require more time – such as cashier’s checks, money orders, debit cards or travel cards – we encourage you to call ahead.  We will process your transaction and have it waiting for you.

We may open the lobby by appointment in instances when the transaction can’t be processed through the drive thru or via our remote/electronic options.  Our accounting and lending staff will be available via phone or email to answer questions., process loan requests, and handle general account servicing during our extended hours at each office. The Escanaba office can be reached at 906- 786 4623 or email at Escanaba@glffcu.com.  The Gladstone office can be reached at 906-428-2362.

Please know these decisions were not made lightly. Our first priority is the safety and protection of our staff and members.  If you are experiencing any cold/flu like symptoms, we encourage you to please stay home at this time.

  1. ATM’S- Escanaba, Gladstone and Rapid River

Annoucement March 17, 2020

Our lives seem to be changing minute by minute with the COVID-19 virus. We are continually monitoring all guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the State of Michigan to reduce the potential threat and protect the health and well being of our members, staff and community.

Many people in our community have been affected already with the mandatory closings of various businesses. Great Lakes First Federal Credit Union is now offering the following financial assistance to those laid off members:

1-0% APR loan for up to 18 months with loan limits of up to three months of a member’s net income for qualified members.

2-Three month loan extensions at 0% APR for qualified members.

3-Waived Skip A Payment fees and allow up to 3 Skip A Pays per loan in 2020.

4-Until further notice, all fee’s for making a loan or credit card payment online or over the phone from another financial institution will be waived.

We hope this will help our members who face financial burdens due to the closings. We are proud to be a part of this community.

Thank you for being a GLFFCU member.

Annoucement March 16, 2020

Great Lakes First Federal Credit Union is monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and tailoring our response plans with the highest level of safety for our members, staff and community in mind. We are reviewing the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Michigan Department of Health and Services to provide the same quality service you expect from us in the safest manner possible.

We are open for business as usual now and are taking preventative steps with additional cleaning being done and extensive staff training on safely providing all our services to our members. We are emphasizing “social distancing” for all members and staff whenever possible. We encourage our members to use our ATM’s in Escanaba, Gladstone and Rapid River; online banking; mobile applications; remote deposit capture and drive thru to try and limit person to person interaction. If you have any questions regarding these services or how to sign up please contact our office in Escanaba at 906-786-4623 or Gladstone at 906-428-2362.

Our goal is to continue to provide all the services you have grown accustomed to with minimal interruptions, but realize this is an evolving situation and we will keep our members informed of any changes that may occur in the coming week.

Stay safe and wash your hands regularly.
